Taps for Taps
The company deserves credit for sharing their culture's art form by taking the act on the road for so long, although you could tell they were tiring and ready to call it a night as this is the farewell tour. The individual performers still gave it their best song and dance, even though the first Act could have been done in their sleep. The songs, whether sung in English or some ancient tongue, didn't make a difference for the most part as they were sung for the cast to keep step to. By the second Act, after the audience had a chance to wake up during intermission, it got more lively in the steps as if reaching the goal of making it to the end of the evening. Dance interpreting the story of nature and the circle of life was nice to see, but it could have been clearer and crisper. Moments, especially the solo acts, made the difference when they came. It's the end of the tap-tap-tap-tapping feet after all.
